PLAST-TECH has signed a new contract with Maris ehf and their customer Háafell ehf.
PLAST-TECH will deliver complete systems for a flow-through fingerling fish farming plant. Háafell is located in the West-fjords of Iceland.
Fish farming tanks to Norway
PLAST-TECH has signed a new contract with Koda and their customer ONTEC.
Koda is representing PLAST-TECH in Norway and ONTEC is a Norwegian technology company with an unique land-based RAS-technology for fish farming.
Production agreement with KODA
PLAST-TECH has entered an exclusive production and assembly agreement with Koda AS.
Koda AS is a Norwegian technology company developing and selling fish farming technology. Koda is currently involved in product development for several projects in Norway and Iceland.
This agreement brings PLAST-TECH closer to our amibiton - to produce large composite material parts for the European fish farming industry.
PLAST-TECH chooses Autodesk Fusion 360 as our CAD and simulation tool
PLAST-TECH believes that Autodesk Fusion 360 is the first 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE tool of its kind, connecting the entire product development process into one cloud-based platform that works on both Mac and PC.
PLAST-TECH has long experience within design, product development and production drawings. Now we look forward to use Autodesk fusion 360 as our tool to bring own and customer ideas into life.

Opening of the new production facility
During the visit of Norwegian ambassador Kristian Ødegaard and representatives from Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, the new production facility is opened.

Increasing the production capacity
We are pleased to announce that we have began the process to expand our production area. Our current facility is around 1200 square meters. By building another facility next to the current one, we shall increase the total production area to 3200 square meters. We look forward to offer our clients increased production capacity in early 2019.

We offer more than 16 years of experience in the composite industry. We have designed and produced a wide variety of composite solutions for maritime and automotive industries as well as for individuals - from boats and auto bodywork to swimming pools and storage products.
We do everything from engineering and design to tooling and production as a part of both our own solutions and partnerships. Our production methods are mainly wet layup and resin infusion. High quality and attention to detail are our core values at every stage of the production process.
How we came to be
Year 2019: A new production hall is opened. PLAST-TECH is continuing a steady growth. The company offers a wide range of services. From the office in Norway the company provides product development, design, production drawings, project management and sales. From the production plant in Latvia PLAST-TECH produce plugs, moulds, prototypes, components and finished multi material products.
Year 2018: Production of various FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) products to several different customers. The company gets sustainable growth.
Year 2017: Endre Kvalheim joins PLAST-TECH SIA as part owner and CEO. PLAST-TECH goes through a corporate renewal. A turnaround year for the company.
Year 2014 - 2017: Horse trailer production in cooperation with MUSTANG-trailers AS.
Year 2006 - 2013: Going automotive. In cooperation with Ebil Norge, production of fiberglass bodies for a city electric car - Buddy, the sixth generation of the Kewet electric vehicle. In cooperation with Loyds Industri, fiberglass hardtop production for Toyota Hilux.
Year 2005: A change of mindset. Due to instability of pleasure boat market, a decision is made to also produce other products.
Year 2002 - 2004: Navette is successfully manufacturing two boat models - Navette S565 and Navette 540. In 2003, production is outsourced to a Latvian company with a goal to cut costs while maintaining the quality. This step results in lower prices and product being more available to the customer. To ensure quality control, Navette expands its operations to Latvia - Rune Nilsen estabilishes a new company and production facility in Saldus.
Year 2001: Rune Nilsen starts a company called Navette in Norway. The company is born out of an idea to design and manufacture pleasure boats. Initially there are 3 founders, but later Rune Nilsen buys all shares.
